TSGL: : what to do with a FOUR GIG drive?

The 80 gig is on the slave connection,
  the 4 gig is the boot drive.
   
  I have successfully formatted the 80 gig
  and then wrote thousands of files to it, to fill it,
  then deleted everything.
  I just copied a dozen files to it, again, then deleted them.
  It seems OK but  HDClone won't use it.
   
  what to try next?
