TSGL: Mail client for very old Oldies

I haven't laid my hands on one, but it *sounds* like the User Interface on the Asus EEE may be what you're looking for?

You'd want to hook up an external mouse, keyboard and monitor, but you should be able to get those on Craiglist fairly cheaply.
