TSGL: MS SP1 for Vista--Anyone Else Having Problems??

Well, if I've saved someone some grief, then that's good at least. It
sure frustrated me, not to mention that I wasted the better part of half
a day screwing around with it. This was not my day for dealing with
computers. After I undid the mess created by the SP1 installation, my
wife asked me to setup and install a new HP deskjet printer she just
bought and wanted to set it up as a 2nd printer for the desktop pc.
Naturally the USB cable for the printer was not quite long enough to
reach to the back USB port on the CPU, and to mess things up further,
when I pulled the CPU out to make the connection, I disconnected several
other cable connections. Believe me, there's nothing I enjoy more than
lying on my back in the dark under the computer desk trying to reconnect
cables--LMAO. But I finally got it all straightened out and working
fine. I didn't get a chance to contact Cisco Corp re the LinkSys router
problem and probably won't until Friday--I'm going skiing tomorrow while
we still have halfway decent snow. But I will let you know if I get a
solution to the problem. My LinkSys is a WRT54GS. I'm not sure what
the difference is with the "S" product but I suspect it's pretty much
the same router you have. Thanks for the sympathies. LOL
