TSGL: More Vista SP1 Issues??

I'm not sure what has changed or been lost on my desktop pc. Prior to
the installation/uninstallation of the SP1 update, my HDD space usage
used to read "287 Gigs free of 363 Gigs Total" and now reads "329 Gigs
free of 363 Total". 42 Gigs is a LOT of additional free space. I've
been examining Program Files and Installed Programs and don't find
anything obvious that has changed. My Installed Programs data is
interesting however. It shows 96 programs installed, which is about the
number of programs that I had previously if I remember correctly, with
total size of the 96 program installations using 6.66 Gigs of HDD
(Unfortunately I don't recall what the total space usage of the
installed programs was prior to SP1). However when I checked each of
the 96 programs to see how much HDD space usage each is using, each of
the programs showed HDD space usage amounts EXCEPT for Adobe Flash
Player Active X, Adobe Flash Player Plug In, Intel Network Connections
Drivers, Microsoft Silverlight, and Nvidia Drivers--each of these had NO
space usage shown. I'm wondering if SP1 deleted these applications,
particularly the Nvidia Drivers since as I said previously, I read in
Info World on line that a number of people were reporting that their
Nvidia drivers were totally gone after installation of SP1. Frankly,
I'm not real sure what the Nvidia drivers are, I believe they are
graphic drivers primarily used for video games but I don't do video
games so I wouldn't know whether I still have them or not. I remember
that the new HP desktop I bought a few months ago was advertised as
having the latest and most high end Nvidia drivers available but I'm not
enough of a computer techie to really know what that meant.

Any idea how I can find out for sure if I have lost the Nvidia
drivers?? Even if I have, I doubt that this would account for 42 Gigs
of data lost. And if I have lost the Nvidia drivers, I have no idea
what to do to get them back. I do have a full HDD image backup done of
the desktop pc HDD on an external HDD using the Acronis True Image
backup product. I last did a full HDD backup several weeks ago but I
don't really want to try to do a HDD restore unless I have to. I'm
really puzzled by the situation and not really sure what to do next.
Especially since I haven't noticed any obvious problems with the desktop
pc to this point. I see that MS apparently has setup a free customer
support line for questions and problems related to the SP1 installation
and I may try calling them to see what they can tell me.
