Either:
Your DVD is an oddball format, or corrupted or damaged---try cleaning the
surface, wipe outwards, not in circles.
or
Download and install the K-Lite set of codecs
or
Download and install VLC Player
or
Try hemlock instead of regular breakfast cereal.
Test GOM with another DVD if you have one.
