TSGL: Firefox annoyances--is there an answer?

Are you sure you have the right Firefox?
Firefox is portable so you can move it to another drive if you really want
to without problems. AddOn's are installed by themselves, theres nothing to
unzip or download, just click install and it does it itself.

Mine doesn't. It does show the tab bar.

I did. It didn't. The addon didn't seem to self-install, I ran it and it
just unzipped to some folders. I manually moved their contents to the
similar folders in firefox, but not sure if I got that right. Do you have
to go through all that hassle with all its addons? I'd expect them to be
self-installing. I couldn't find any instructions on the addons page about
installing them.
Overall, I must say I'm very underwhelmed with Firefox and will probably
trash it, despite its enthusiastic following and its speed.
Nor do I care for its method of installing all its data into my C-Drive,
which I keep for the OS only. I've always thought that's bad programming.
Maybe there's a reason.
I did manage to get the tabs bar moved, so that's one success out of 3. The
other problems seem to be intractable.
Perhaps my system (XP SP2) or my security settings do not suit it.
