Hi Alan,
Just go to Start | Search and click on "All files and folders", then use the
"A word or phrase in the file" field for the specific text you want to find
and change the "Look in:" option from "Local Hard Drives C:" to point to the
folder containing your files (to limit the search and so do it much
quicker).

Subject: TSGL: Text search freeware.
Hi all, I have 26 MSO word docs in a folder on one of my partitions. Can
you recommend any program that will let me search that folder for
specific text contained within one of the unopened files and then
display the results?
Win XP Pro
Freeware would be nice but suggestions are welcome, thanks.
Alan
