Re: "Now to investigate the joys (???) of configs and addons."

Just remember Don, everytime Firefox "updates" the browser, some of those
"addons" will be broken. Of course, the addon author may eventually get
around to repairing the broken code, so in a couple of weeks (or months, or
years), you'll be able to install the new addon which will probably work as
well as it used to work.

Oh my, I guess I, too, need to be converted to FF (sigh), because I'm not
just there yet! I still find myself clicking on the little "e" or the Big
"A" (for Avant). And sometimes I even click on the Compass Icon (Safari)
because I like its fonts which are easier to read with these old eyes of
mine. But those FF addons ... I really dislike the idea of depending on
addons which can be (and often are) broken by an upgrade.

That's what I already have.

Thanks to all of you who have helped me on the journey of indoctrination
into this new great religion.
I'm not singing any hymns of praise just yet, but maybe it will come with
senility.

we'll have a difficult time reprogramming you. But there's been a
meeting and the good news is that we think you're worth the effort.>>

I was in fits when I read H Davis latest comments---whether of laughter or
insanity yet remains to be determined.

OK, as a HUGE compromise, I've now gone back to my old mouse, on which the
middle scroll button is easier to click.
Compared to my nice new mouse which I have now relegated to the great
mousehouse in the sky, this old one has no blue lights, no bells and nary a
whistle in sight. I've reconfigured 2 fingers to work, where 1 used to do.
I'll suffer, but not in silence.

Thx for the leads into about:config (why do they make these settings so
obscure???). I've modified the tab configs, but still no joy in opening new
tabs by default--I guess the function must be hardwired into FF.

Now to investigate the joys (???) of configs and addons.

If this List never hears from me again (is that shouts of "hurrah" I hear?)
it will be because I've been buried in a tomb of FF addons.
